The Committee

Seow Yian San serves as the current President of Association of Women Doctors Singapore (AWDS). She has been with AWDS for 10 years under 4 Presidents in her capacity in various positions as a committee member, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary. She had also served with the Singapore Dental Association Council for more than 15 years in several office bearer positions in the Council. She was appointed as the chairperson for Ethics and Practice Management Committee, as well as the editor-in-chief for the Dental Surgeon publication. She is also a part-time supervisor in the Orthodontic Residency Programme of National University of Singapore (NUS) since 2018. She is currently on the Singapore Dental Council Complaints Committee panel.

With a keen interest in improving patients’ smiles and confidence, she proceeded to specialize in Orthodontics at NUS and graduated with a Masters of Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) and a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Yian San is currently a board member of Singapore Council of Women’s Organizations (SCWO).
